Jags DT Nate Collins arrest cont..

Per Tania Ganguli Jaguars defensive tackle Nate Collins aka @BigN98 has a court date set for April 19 at 1pm. This arrest marks the end of the a 1,081 day streak without a member of the team being in trouble with the law. Many Jags fans are speculating that this will end Collin's tenure with the team as he no longer fits the "Gene Smith Guy" persona.

Seasoned reporter Pete Prisco tweeted Nate Collins: Say Goodbye, alluding to Collins who is an exclusive rights free agent will not be resigned to the team. This could  put the jags defensive line in a bind as Collins, who was a regular in the Jags defensive rotation this past season and, will now need to be replaced should the Jags choose not to resign him.

Its been almost three years since a football player who wore black and teal has been arrest. The last being Reggie Williams who was arrested in April 2009 for cocaine possession.

The Jaguars had this to say about the arrest "We are aware of the incident involving Nate Collins and continue to gather information. We will have no further comment at this time" per Tania Ganguli's twitter account.

My fourth blog post and already an arrest...wow.
