Jaguars sign former Giants DB Aaron Ross

GM Gene is sneaky...very very sneaky. At about 1:39AM Adam Schefter of  NFL.com tweeted this "Jacksonville has reached agreement with former Giants CB Aaron Ross on a three-year deal worth up to $15.3 million." This is a great signing. I had some concerns about what the Jags were going to do at corner back. I know they resigned Rashean, but lets keep it 100, Mathis coming off an ACL injury and at his age was not going to play like Mathis anymore. Adding Ross to the roster mean the Jags now have some legit depth at corner back. It will be interesting to see how Mel Tucker will use both Mathis and Ross in his defense. Overall I call this a great signing.

An interesting note on this, per Tania Ganguli Jaguars beat writer for the Florida Times Union, Ross visited two teams the Redskins and the Bengals but did not visit the Jaguars. Yet he agreed to the contract. GM Gene alwaaaaaays gets the yes.
