Terrance Knighton holds press conference on club incident

Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance "Potroast" Knighton held a press conference to address the incident that happened this off season to that led to him having emergency eye surgery. His first statement about the incident was an apology to the entire Jaguars organization and to the fans in having been involved in the situation that led to his injury. Potroast said he knows that being involved was not a good idea even though he had the best intentions as he was trying to help a friend. The result of that was a glass bottle broken over his head, which lead to alcohol and glass getting in his eye. Knighton immediately lost vision in his eye and left the club (Pure) to seek medical attention. One thing of note about this incident is Knighton did not make any threats to shoot or retaliate as he was more concerned about seeking medical attention. He drove himself to Baptist hospital which has one of the country's best eye clinics. There doctors performed successful surgery to repair the damage and they expect him to make a full recovery. As of right now the vision in his left eye is 20-60 compared to his right eye which is 20-10. He has regained vision in the injured left eye but it is still a little blurry. Knighton has been cleared by doctors to lift weights and plans to be ready to go by the time training camp starts. Right now the Jags have many OTAs scheduled during the months of May and June. Knighton will be there as there. Here is picture floating around Twitter of him at OTA right now.

Its was big of Knighton to acknowledge his involvement in the incident even though he did not cause it and had the best of intentions with trying to helps someone who was being attacked. It shows how much he has grown since being drafted and he is turning out to be a person of great character, something GM Gene looks for in players he brings into the Jaguars organization. Knighton thanked everyone for their support both fans and everyone in the Jaguars organization. Look for big things from Terrance Knighton this season.
