Jaguars have resigned Jeremy Mincey to a 4 year $27.2 million deal

Per Tania Ganguli after some confusion from another source the Jags have resigned DE Jeremy Mincey to a 4 year deal. Mincey who led the Jags in sacks this year with eight was being perused by the Chicago Bears but it would appear tonight that the Jaguars are taking care of home first before going after other free agents. Earlier tonight the Jags resigned strong safety Dwight Lowery who was part of Mel Tucker #6 ranked defense. With the Mincey signing the Jags are making sure that defense stays intact while they pursue a possible replacement for Aaron Kampman in the form of Mario Williams.

Mincey's new contract is for 4 years with maximum of $27.2 million, $9 million of which is fully guaranteed (thank you Tania Ganguli) Mincey's contract is one that is worth more than 2010 free agent acquisition Aaron Kampman (also DE).
