Jags Caravan continues, Pendleton inks a four year contract and Justin Blackmon goes to court.

Today was not a slow news day for the Jaguars. Business picked up a bit as the team continued its efforts to energize the surrounding region with the Jaguars Caravan. This past Friday the caravan with the aid from some key members of the defense and offense (Terrance Knighton Tyson Alualu Brad Meester and Laurent Robinson) were in Brunswick GA. Today the Jaguars Caravan headed down to Palm Coast to reach out to the fans there. Also on hand was Jaguars DJ Chill Will who always delivers on the ones and twos on game day and other Jaguars events so it should be no surprise that the Jags delivered at the event.

Earlier today Jaguars first round pick Justin Blackmon had his arraignment today for his Sunday misdemeanor aggravated DUI arrest. Surprisingly Blackmon plead not guilty to the charge even though he twice blew over a .20 blood alcohol content. Last night Jaguars DE Jeremy Mincey was in channel 4 and said it was a rookie mistake and that the players would do what they could to help him see its not a game anymore and that Blackmon has his whole career ahead of him. Second year wide receiver Cecil Shorts tweeted "You can't teach character". It looks like the consensus is that the players are disappointed in Blackmons actions he has not represented the team well. Vito Stellino of the Florida Times Union reported that Blackmon will be subject to the NFL's substance abuse policy and not their personal conduct policy.

Jeris Pendleton signs his contract with the Jaguars
In some good news the Jaguars signed seventh round pick defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton. The seventh round pick signed a four year contract with the Jags today. Pendleton will make a good depth player for the Jaguars and should rotate in and out of the line to spell Tyson Alualu or Terrance Knighton. The financial details of the contract have yet to be disclosed but should be eventually.
