Blackmon pleds guilty to DUI gets fines and community service

Per Vito Stellino and the AP Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has plead guilty to aggravated DUI. Blackmon has received a deferred sentence one year sentence provided he fulfills all obligations of the sentence he will avoid any jail time. He was fined $500 and given 50 hours of community service

I think a sigh of relief that the DA did not try to make an example of him. Now the Jaguars can resume contract talks with him and hope to have him in camp by this Fridays start date. Blackmon will most likely enter the leagues substance abuse program as a way of showing he is taking all of this very serious. Justin has already been talked to by several veterans on the team about realizing he has a unique opportunity with the Jaguars and that its time to grow up. The Jags drafted Blackmon fifth overall in the 2012 NFL draft.
