Hill vs Blackmon....Who do you like?

Okay, we all know that the Jaguars need some WR depth. When free agency starts I'm hoping the Jags will work on that issue. Of course free agency is not a long term fix. Which is why the Jaguars will have to be bold and look for a fix through the draft. Two stand outs at this years combine were Justin Blackmon and Stephen Hill.

Blackmon has number 1 receiver written all over him. His last two seasons with OSU has produced some staggering stats. In 2011 he finished the regular season with 121 catches for 1522 yards and 18 touchdowns. At the combine he did not run the 40 yard dash. In fact the only drill he did participate in was the gauntlet. Blackmon runs the gauntlet The guy clearly has talent and has first round pick written all over him. If he is still on the board at the seventh pick (which will really surprise me) Then he is the obvious choice for the Jaguars. At 6'1 207lbs Blackmon makes a big target for Blaine Gabbert to hit.

Then there is Georgia Tech's Stephen Hill. Hill who played in a run heavy triple option offense was a surprise stand out at the combine. The first indication that this kid is going to have a great NFL career was his 40 time. He had the fastest time for WRs at 4.30 for his first attempt and 4.31 for his second. Stephen smokes the competition Even though he only amassed 49 catches while with Georgia Tech there clearly is potential for him to be a number 1 receiver in the NFL. I would love to see him as a Jaguar. Hill is 6'4 and 215lbs. He makes for in my opinion a bigger and better target for Blaine to hit especially if its a deep pass.
